New Year's Note from the Executive Director

Keep reading below for a note from Character Counts Mid Shore's Executive Director as we begin a new year!

Dear Friends,

The turning of the calendar into a new year (and a new decade!) prompts many of us to reflect on the past and articulate hopes and intentions for the future. In my role as Executive Director of Character Counts Mid Shore, I have been gratefully considering the many wonderful things that have brought our organization to this place in time:

the countless hours invested by our dedicated Character Coaches who drive the impact of our work;

our partners in the community who gift generous charitable donations to enable our mission; and

the engagement of our educators – administrators and teachers alike – with whom we collaborate to power student transformations.

Indeed, the past has been kind to Character Counts Mid Shore.

Our shared commitment to bettering student lives is an act of optimism. As we shift our focus to the future, there is much room for us to collaborate in visioning for continued impact on Mid Shore youth. As we set out on a journey toward new horizons, I celebrate you and your ongoing dedication to building brighter futures. This time next year, I am sure we will be celebrating many meaningful successes.

As always, thank you for sharing your time and unique perspectives with the students we serve.

Happy New Year, friends!

Lauren Weber
